About the Business
The Wynnstay Hotel was established as a Coaching Inn being a perfect stop off for people travelling between Liverpool, Cardiff, London & Holyhead. The Hotel dates back to 1727, built in a very typical Georgian style.
The Hotel has been privately owned for 30 years by a local family who have sympathetically restored, renovated and extended the hotel. This includes building a large function suite overlooking the historic bowling green, converting the old coaching house into a modern gym & spa and transforming an old grocers owned by the Wilsons family into a Contemporary Wine Bar.
Set in the heart of Oswestry, the hotel provides 34 stylish bedrooms, conference and banqueting for 200, fine dining in our Four Seasons Restaurant, comfort in The Pavilion Lounge Bar, relaxation in our Spa & Beauty Rooms, reinvigoration in the Coach House Gym, all surrounding the oasis of our Crown Bowling Green.
