The Mount Pleasant Inn is a family run business offering our guests traditional Welsh hospitality and a warm welcome. Nestling in the picturesque Welsh countryside, The Mount Pleasant has undergone a period of extensive refurbishment during the past 6 years and has enjoyed visitors from all over the world. Locally known as "The Black" The Mount Pleasant Inn is steeped in history. Its name is attributed to its links with the Black Lion Sidings, which once controlled the endless stream of coal leaving Merthyr Vale Colliery. Now the valley has returned to its former beauty we can offer an array of attractions for all types of guests. Facilities include: fully licensed bar, dining room, lounge and beer garden with panoramic views. When you visit The Mount Pleasant, you can discover yourself the excellent cuisine for which we are locally renowned. Nothing is too much trouble for us.
