About the Business
The Lodge offers exclusive and unique Bed & Breakfast accommodation in what was originally the gate house to Scalford Hall. Only 2 miles from the market town of Melton Mowbray, well known for it's world famous Pork Pies, Stilton Cheese, and other gourmet foods. And 1/2 mile from the attractive village of Scalford. The Lodge is an excellent choice at any time of the year whether it be for discovering middle England, a short break, visiting friends and family, attending a sporting event, or as a home away from home if it is business that brings you to the area.
The Lodge historically housed both the Gardener and Chauffeur to Colonel Colman (of mustard fame). Being one of Melton Mowbray's many famous hunting boxes, it was regularly visited by the royals and gentry of the day.
