About the Business
The George is an attractive 18th century inn, situated in the heart of the bustling market town of Dereham. The elegant Georgian building houses a spacious bar, restaurant and conservatory. On a sunny day the outside terrace is the perfect place to enjoy a drink or meal. We have six en suite bedrooms, one with a four-poster bed and roll top bath which would be perfect as a bridal suite.
The George is an independent family run free house ran by husband and wife team Gareth and Rebecca Williams. Gareth is head chef, with a wealth of 17 years experience. Gareth's passion is fresh food made with the best local ingredients. Here in Norfolk we are spoilt for choice as we are surrounded by farmland and are in such close proximity to the sea. This allows us the opportunity to source only the best fresh food on a daily basis. Our team of chefs cook all of our food to order in our kitchen.
