About the Business
Built around 1760 in Brigg, North Lincolnshire and now a Grade II listed building, "The Exchange" as it's known locally is the most stylish house of this period in the area. In its hay-day many important people came to stay, the most notable perhaps being the young Winston Churchill who returned during the war years. From card games on the infamous King William card table to ghosts and phantom feet roaming the hotel - this is an atmospheric, as well as beautiful, place to stay. The old stables and the coach house have been tastefully converted into hotel accommodation comprising twenty-five rooms set around a courtyard. During the owner's extensive overseas travels he has picked up many ideas which can be been seen in the blending of an almost motel style with a hint of the New Orleans French sector. The beautiful surroundings make this the ideal place to stay whether on business, visiting family or just taking a relaxing romantic weekend break.
