About the Business
The main building was constructed in 1874 as a country house and still retains many of its original features including the oak-panelled lounge and the Victorian staircase. An extension was added in 1980 and over recent years there has been extensive refurbishment of the entire hotel.
Haywards Heath is in the heart of Sussex. To the North and East lies the High Weald covering some 560 square miles and designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. To the south lie the South Downs which stretch along the South Coast offering wonderful walking opportunities and magnificent coastal views. There are many renowned gardens within driving distance including Sheffield Park, Borde Hill and Wakehurst Place. Brighton (14 miles) and Lewes (12 miles) are attractive historic towns to visit and there are many other local places of interest which are listed on the Tourist Attractions page.
There is the Courtyard Restaurant for fine dining and the Bar and Brasserie for more informal eating and drinking.
