About the Business
When it comes to quality West Lothian hotels, The Balbairdie Hotel stands proud, boasting a rich heritage and renowned customer service. The hotel itself is a listed building, nestled in the centre of Bathgate, and is over one hundred years old. In its time it has been many things, from a butcher, baker, and nightclub, to the hidden, historical gem of Bathgate that it is now.
The building was lovingly transformed and re-opened as a public house in the mid nineties, with great care taken to keep the original 'traditional' feel in place, while offering a contemporary touch, especially in the restaurant. The upper floor was converted into ten en suite rooms, turning it into one of the friendliest hotels in West Lothian, offering a range of facilities to cater to a wide variety of guests and budgets.
Due to our central Bathgate location, the fantastic rail links between Glasgow and Edinburgh mean that our popular West Lothian hotel is ideally situated for both business and pleasure.
