About the Business
Dating back to 1791, Seaham Hall is a stunning five-star boutique hotel in Durham. Situated amidst 37 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens in a striking cliff top location with evocative views out over Durham's heritage coast line.
Seaham Hall enjoys an illustrious history which saw it being the wedding location of the great romantic poet Lord Byron, residence of the society intellectual Ada Lovelace and later, the centre of a whiskey smuggling enterprise during US prohibition!
Nowadays after benefiting from a £2 million upgrade under new ownership, Seaham Hall is an immaculately restored Georgian Country House with interiors that fuse a modern eclecticism with a classical sensibility. Boasting the award winning Serenity Spa which includes a swimming pool, outdoor hot tubs, a fitness suite and an aerobics studio. It is also home to two excellent restaurants - Byrons Bar & Grill and Ozone, a Pan Asian restaurant located within the Serenity Spa which offers authentic yet innovative menus.
