About the Business
The more recent and fully intact Ramparts were originally commissioned by Queen Elizabeth I around the year 1558, designed to keep out the Scottish raiding parties who frequently sought to take the town for their own. There are routes of varying length and difficulty throughout the Scottish Borders, suited to amateurs and veterans alike.
Shooting is well catered for in the Borders. Its history of hunting and rich nature means that our gamekeepers and ghillies are second to none. Hutton Mills on the River Whiteadder has outstanding shooting.
