About the Business
Newby Bridge Hotel is a fantastic place to stay in the Lake District and is overlooking Lake Windermere with picturesque landscaped grounds and parking for 60 cars. The Hotel was originally known as Newby Bridge Mansion. It was built in 1793 by James Machel and was one of the first great houses to be built on the shores of Lake Windermere. Having recently been extended, the hotel boasts quality accommodation, roaring log fires, leisure facilities, a private jetty and 'moreish' food.
Our leisure facilities include an indoor pool, ten person 'tylo' steam room, spa pool and gym and the facilities are for the exclusive use of our hotel guests. We have our own mooring on Lake Windermere and hotel residents may fish from here or you could simply have a wander around the shore soaking up the stunning views. For rest and relaxation, the hotel's Mediterranean gardens and terraces provide a tranquil refuge.
