It is within easy walking distance of Chester City Centre, the most complete walled city in Britain and all of its historical sights-some dating from Roman times. Near to the Latymer Hotel are Chester Golf Club and Westminster Park with a nine hole golf course, and the renowned Chester Racecourse, the oldest in Britain. Motor racing fans will love Oulton Park just twenty minutes by car in the heart of Cheshire with its glorious gardens and country houses. Walkers and ramblers can enjoy the breathtaking scenery of nearby North Wales with its castles, fine beaches and the stunning Snowdonia National Park.
