About the Business
The Castle Hotel is a charming, family run inn set on the village green of Saltwood. The restaurant serves excellent home made food drawing from local produce and the bar has an excellent choice of wines and beers including at least 3 well kept real english ales. Here you will meet many of our friendly locals as the bar is the 'hub' of the village. In the summer the garden is the place to be watching local life meander by. The comfortable Castle Hotel provides an excellent base for exploring the countryside of Kent or a stopover for those travelling to and from the continent.
You will find picturesque walks, taking the village green, timbered village hall and Norman church. We have our own castle in the village famous for harbouring the knights who murdered Thomas a Beckett in Canterbury! The hotel is within a mile of rail networks, with the motorway and ports of Folkestone and Dover a short drive away.
